Walter "Kirk" Killian passed away on November 14, 2021 in Klamath Falls, OR. He was born in September 9, 1943 to Walter and Frances (Simpson) Killian in Klamath Falls, OR. Kirk graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1961. After high school, he joined the Navy and became a Radar Technician. He served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea for the duration of his service. After his Navy service, Kirk went on to help his Dad and brothers with the business of ranching. Initially, the Killian's ranched in Merrill, and then in Beatty, OR for 30 or more years. They raised cattle and grew hay. Although ranching was his livelihood, Kirk's love of technology was his greatest passion. This technological passion started as a teenager talking with people from around the world on a ham radio (the old version of social media). Radio shack was his favorite store. Kirk also enjoyed bartering with his neighbors and spending time with friends and family. Kirk is survived by his brothers and sister-in-laws, Steve and Rozalia Killian of Klamath Falls, OR; Kenny and Kim Knight of Chiloquin, OR, great nieces and nephew-in-laws; Cherice and Jim Treasure of Midland, OR; Shannon and Mike Brown of Bonanza, OR and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and other uncles and aunts. Private services will be held at a later date.
