Viola Russell Wagner, 97, passed away in Bullhead City, Ariz. on July 6, 2022. She was born March 21, 1925 in Outlook, Wash., the third of three children to Lyle and Lizzie Anderson. They moved to Ontario, Ore. in 1937 where Viola graduated from high school. She married Arthur E. Wagner in Winnemucca, Nev. on June 22, 1945. To this union was born two daughters, Sharon and Jolita. In the fall of 1945, Arthur and Viola moved to Burns, Ore. where they joined with Arthur’s two brothers and wives operating the Palace Cafe & Lounge. In 1969, they moved to Willows, Calif., then to Eureka, Calif. In 1989 where they lived for 5 years before moving to Klamath Falls, Ore. in 1994. Viola worked as a bookkeeper all her life. After moving to Klamath Falls, she worked part time as a cashier in the Paper Owl at Oregon Institute of Technology for several years. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, sewing, reading and playing Bingo at the senior center. She was a member of the Golden Age Club. Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Stewart and her husband, Ben, of McKinleyville, CA and Jolita Evans and her husband Bob, of Bullhead City, Ariz…Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, a brother, Vern Anderson, and sister Mildred Wagner. Viola leaves 5 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 2pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, 4711 Hwy. 39 in Klamath Falls.
