Shirley Eccles

Shirley J. Eccles, 97, passed away in Klamath Falls on April 10, 2021. She was born June 20, 1923 in Astoria, Ore. to Mauritz and Martha Mattson. Shirley married Ivan Eccles in Longview, Wash. on October 27, 1942. Shirley was active in the PTA, Girl Scouts, Job's Daughters, Beta Sigma Phi, bowling leagues, softball and served as an election poll worker. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and enjoyed raising her children, traveling, camping - especially with her grandchildren, and "snowbirding." Survivors include her sons, Terry Eccles and his wife Claudia of Missoula, Mont., Steve Eccles and his wife Marsha of Klamath Falls; daughters, Cheryl Marshall and her husband Robert of Eugene, Ore., Linda McDonald and her husband Jim of Klamath Falls; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, in 2004, her parents and a sister. A graveside service will be at 3:00pm on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Klamath Memorial Park, 2680 Memorial Drive in Klamath Falls. Cascade Cremation & Burial is assisting the family.
