Sandra Lynd West

July 16, 1940 — October 20, 2020

Sandy was born in Lewiston, Idaho on July 16, 1940 to Margaret Broaddus and Francis Ivie. However, she was raised by E.L Dyer, her mother and her precious, amazing grandmother Veronica Broaddus. She attended all 12 years of schooling in Lewiston. Being in an era long before electronics, she was an extreme introvert and developed a lifelong love of reading. She also was part of marching band and orchestra which billeted a trip to Canada her sophomore year. During a typing class her junior year she heard the world series over the radio and from that day forward baseball became a passion for her. She was a New York Yankees fan through and through. Sandy graduated from Lewiston Highschool in 1958 where upon she married Doug West. Although that union failed, he gave her two children, Mark and Penny. In 1962 she moved to Klamath Falls where she met her partner in crime Jack Bachmann. The two worked hard and played hard and established a family life. She waited tables and tended bar for 47 years. She worked at the Luca café, Playhouse tavern (owner/operator), and ended her career at Mr.B’s Steakhouse. During her middle years she was able to help with her grandchildren and later even her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Penny West, her grandchildren Jyhyia and Chelsie Massey and his girls Alannah Massey (and s/o Tristan Grassman) and Alyssa Massey, Suzanne West and her son Chase Glaubitz, Sheena Massey, Skyler Massey (and s/o KristiAnn Kinsman), Jenna Dierick and her children Syler and Aubrey, and their father Brandon Dierick, Mark West Jr, Jacob and Jamie Stutzer and their two girls Lorelei and Josie Stutzer, And Sunkia West, and numerous nieces and nephews. She goes to meet her soulmate Jack Bachmann, Grandma Great (Veronica Broaddus), her mother Margaret Legg, sisters Kathy Cassavan, Linda Snedden and son Mark Allen West Sr.
