Sandy passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 5th, 2025 at the home of her son Jeff and wife Carroll Faganello. She was 80 years old.
Sandy was born on August 10, 1944 in Klamath Falls to parents Homer and Doris Clark and named Sandra Jeanne Clark but she preferred to be called Sandy. Sandy graduated from Henley High School in 1962.
Sandy was married to Frank Faganello in a double wedding ceremony with Frank's brother Ron Faganello and Sandy's sister Lorraine (Clark) Faganello on January 27, 1962, at Sacred Heart Church in Klamath Falls.
Sandy had a varied career. She worked for the school district in Bly while her children were growing up and later worked for Klamath First Federal after the family moved back to Klamath Falls in 1980. She retired from First Federal after several years with the firm.
While living in Bly Sandy was an EMT with the Bly Volunteer Ambulance Service. It was also during the family's time in Bly that Sandy met and worked with Kathy Smith. Buzz and Kathy became very close family friends and were often included in trips to Reno and family events. Sandy enjoyed family gatherings, outings and camping trips until late in life.
Surviving family members include son - Jeff-his wife Carroll; grandson CJ and partner Stephanie Buxton, grandson Jefferey - partner Cassy Newman, great grandson Austin and step granddaughter Rhylie Kraly; granddaughter Valerie Faganello-Miller - great grandsons Tristan, Michael, and great granddaughter Piper; daughter - Jenine (Faganello) Kerns-her husband Lyndon, granddaughter Breanna Haddock, husband Josh, great granddaughter Ruby and great grandson Brody; and granddaughter Brittany Skutt, husband Clinton, great grandson Junior and great granddaughter Addison. Brother-in-law Barry Faganello and extended family member Pete Mongan. Niece Tonie (Faganello) Kellom-husband John and two daughters; Lynndsi (Kellom) Ray, husband Link and two sons Carson and Cooper; and daughter Sarah Kellom. Niece Tammy (Faganello) Ahalt - husband Mark and their son Leo. Nephew Rodney Clark and his wife Renee and niece Rhonda Clark. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 2023 and daughter Denise Faganello-Rising who passed away in 2021.
Instead of a memorial service there will be a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date.
