Rodney "Rod" Klein

Rodney "Rod" Klein, 96, passed away at his home in Klamath Falls on April 5, 2025 with his family near.

Rod was born January 13, 1929 in San Diego, Calif. He was a mechanic who could always repair anything that would not operate. He worked in an aircraft factory during the Korean War making jet parts. He married longtime playmate Dorothy Witt in 1947. They had 3 sons. The family moved to Oregon in 1957. Rod worked for the Street Dept. then became a vehicle mechanic with the Klamath County School District. He retired from there after 30 years. Rod loved his family. He loved to hunt and fish. The family enjoyed water skiing, snowmobiling, riding four wheelers, camping, picnics and watching some TV. Rod and Dot outlived all their close friends and were married 77 years.

Rod is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sons, Terry and Dean; granddaughters, Jennifer and Rita; great granddaughter, Ava. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Chrystal Klein, and a son, Douglas Klein.

A graveside service will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Klamath Memorial Park, 2680 Memorial Drive in Klamath Falls.
