Richard Molthan

Richard Leroy Molthan passed away in his sleep on December 26, 2022. He served in the Airforce from July 1957 to October 1960 before going to work for Litton Industries as an engineer. He worked at Litton Industries for over 20 years, 11 years in San Fernando Valley in California and the balance in Grants Pass Oregon. He held some odd jobs after that but mostly helped his wife, Alma, with their thrift store. They moved to Klamath Falls in 2010 to live with their son, Alex. Richard moved into Comfort Care in 2019. He was very well cared for there and we’re thankful for that wonderful care! His greatest love was serving God. He loved going to meetings and loved fellowship. He also loved just talking with people when he was out and about; he could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Richard was proceeded in death by his wife, Alma (2015) and his daughter Alexa (2022). He’s survived by his children, Alex (Sheali), Allen (Amy), Aleta Mekvold, grandchildren Erika, Christina, Christopher and Jackson, 4 great grandchildren Teagan, Scarlet, Jameson, and Greyson, and many, many friends. He will be missed by all.
