Richard Lawrence Booth, 88 passed away in Klamath Falls on January 18, 2023, surrounded by his family. Richard was born in Cottage Grove, Oregon June 24, 1934, to Leslie and Genevieve Booth. Richard attended University High School in Eugene, OR where he enjoyed playing football. After high school Richard proudly served in the United States Navy from 1952-1959 during the Korean war. Richard later settled in Klamath Falls where he actively participated with the Klamath Veterans of Foreign Wars and was elected and served as commander twice at the VFW Post 1383. He also enjoyed working as a business consultant in Klamath falls and being involved with the community.
Richard loved football and was a huge Oregon Ducks fan. He also enjoyed fishing but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Richard was a wonderful Dad, amazing Grandpa, and extraordinary Papa. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
A visitation is planned on January 31, 2023, at 10:00 am, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 am and military honors graveside, at Klamath Memorial Park, 2680 Memorial Drive, Klamath Falls, Oregon. Reception to follow services at the VFW, 515 Klamath Avenue.
In Lieu of flowers please bring a favorite dessert to share at the reception. In honor of Richard who loved his deserts.
