Larry Dennis East

Larry D. East, 82, passed away in Klamath Falls on November 26, 2023.

Larry was born July 24, 1941 in Washburn, Wisc. to Adrian and Pearl East. He served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1962, receiving an honorable discharge at the rank of Seaman. Following his military service, Larry met Mildred Dickson. The two were married in Sacramento, Calif. On June 22, 1963. They moved to Klamath Falls in 1976, after that Larry opened Drive Line Service of Klamath Falls in 1979 and retired in 2000 and his oldest son took over the business. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, jeeping and contributed to the Klamath Basin for almost 50 years. In 1973 Larry was accepted into the AMC Jeep Winner's Circle in recognition of a continuing interest in the development and future of the automotive industry.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mildred of Klamath Falls; Sons, Larry D. East, Jr. & wife Julie East of Klamath Falls and Jayson S. East of Junction City, Ore. brother, Jim East of Shady Cove, Ore.; and grandchildren: Steven East, Dusti East, Zachary East, Levi East and Finnegan East, Great Grandchildren: Archer East and Adalynd East.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, Dec. 8, 2023 at Klamath Memorial Park Chapel, 2680 Memorial Dr., Klamath Falls. Viewing will precede the service beginning at 10:00am. Interment will follow.
