Jose Salvador Silva Garcia was born June 4th, 1951, in El Mesquite Grande, Jal, MX. and passed on June 11th, 2024, in Malin, Oregon. Salvador’s parents were Maria De La Luz Silva Garcia and Salvador Silva Tovar. Salvador was the fourth of eight siblings. He migrated to the US in 1978, where he spent the remainder of his years in Malin, Oregon.
Salvador is survived by his loving wife, Maria Del Carmen Silva and four children, Rosa Isela Christensen, Salvador Israel Silva, Ivan Silva, and Melissa Buresh. He & his wife were very proud of celebrating one of their largest milestones, their fiftieth wedding anniversary, with their family and friends. Of all the roles he took on, he loved being a grandfather. His six grandchildren were his pride and joy. To them and his children, he was a shining example of what strength, tenacity, hard-working, humor, and a little stubbornness could do. Cecilia, Gabriel, Emma, Isela, Andrew, and Sofia will miss their Grandpapa, Grandpa, and Papu.
Salvador was many things in his life; a son, a sibling, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a godfather, a farm worker, and retired as an equipment operator. He was a devoted member of St. Augustin’s Catholic Church, loved to fish, travel, spend time with family, and watch his favorite soccer team “Las Chivas” de Guadalajara.
Salvador was a very loving individual and he cherished his friendship. He was mischievous at heart, loved a good laugh, eat oysters, and the biggest supporter of his family’s achievements.
Salvador and Carmen Silva resided in Malin, OR since 1987.
Our loving Papi will be dearly missed.
A private memorial will be held on Sat June 22nd at St Agustine Catholic Church commencing with a Viewing 1 p.m., Mass 2 p.m., and Burial at Malin Community Cemetery.

Extrañaremos muchísimo a nuestro querido Papi.
