Jill Lynn Linebarger

Jill Lynn Linebarger (Hinds), 77, of Klamath Falls, Oregon, passed away peacefully at home on October 16, 2024. Born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, on May 24, 1947, Jill dedicated her life to the care and education of children, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.

Jill earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and spent much of her career as a passionate advocate for children, working as a teacher and administrator specializing in early child development. She was deeply committed to ensuring justice and care for the youngest members of our society.

A woman of strong faith, Jill was an active member of United Evangelical Free Church in Klamath Falls since moving to the area in 1989. She cherished her church community and built many lasting friendships over the years. Her generosity and kind spirit were evident in everything she did, from her involvement in church activities to the countless blankets she lovingly crocheted for friends, newborns, and relatives. She always made a point to learn each recipient's favorite colors, ensuring that every creation was personal and special.

Jill is survived by her loving husband, Randy Linebarger, and her two sons, Chris and Matt Linebarger. She also leaves behind her daughters-in-law, Leslie and Marisela, her beloved grandchildren, Callie Hutt, Sadie Brigham, Grace Corr, Seth Linebarger, Joel Linebarger, and Lydia Linebarger, as well as five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Orchard Hinds Sr. and LaVerda Carrietta Morrison.

Jill will be remembered for her sweet soul, her sense of humor, and her passion for justice, especially on behalf of children. She was a friend to many and always brought joy with her infectious laughter and warm heart.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM at United Evangelical Free Church, 3333 Beverly Dr, Klamath Falls, OR 97603.
