James Harkless

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Father, James LeRoy Harkless, who left us peacefully after a short illness on January 6, 2025, at the age of 82 years.

James was born to James Miles Harkless and Katherine Addell Yarrow on July 28, 1942 in Sonoma, CA.

He married Lucille Ann Hall and together they had sons: James L, Robin, William S. & DeWayne O. They are his biggest accomplishments & most diverse in personalities. He is still admiring the stars they reach for and loves them all unconditionally.

He retired from Burlington Northern Railroad after 43 years. He had a passion for Gold Mining and every chance he could get, he would go to his claim, he also loved to restore Classic Cars & enjoyed winning numerous awards at Car Shows all over the Northwest,

He was also a long term resident of Keno, Oregon and loved living there.

For one moment you might remember how he could make anyone laugh and how a simple conversation with him could make you feel. He was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father; James Miles Harkless, Mother; Katherine A. (Yarrow) Harkless, Sister; Frances J. (Harkless) Mallatt, His Son; Robin Harkless & Grandson; Kyle W. Harkless.

He is survived by his Brother; Jerry (Sandy) Corda, Son; James (Jennifer) Harkless, Son; William Harkless, Son; DeWayne (Audra) Harkless, Many Grandchildren; Great Grandchildren & his beloved fiancé; Lynn Gow-Langhorne.
