“She was so very sweet; she always spoke so kindly and encouraging to me.” Were the words told to Donna M. Wiley’s family over and over again, throughout their time at Pelican Point, where she was cared for and lived, in her final years. She was so kind and loving to all who knew her. She was so dear to many people’s hearts and loved being a prayer warrior for her family, friends and those in need. The words she wanted shared, with those that remember her, are out of the Bible in 1 Thessalians 5:9-10, “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath, but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him.” She cherished those words and lived by them. She was born to Donald and Octavia Zeitler in Klamath Falls, Ore. and peacefully passed away on December 16, 2020 at the age of 85 years old. She was preceded in death in July 1981 by her loving first husband L. Earl Garrison. The two of them both worked in local and international banking and loved to travel. She was blessed to marry again to her loving husband Audye Wiley, whom she married in 1987, who preceded her in death in 2013. He was a pastor for 18 years, including serving at First Baptist Church in Klamath Falls from 2000-2005. Donna loved serving the Lord with Audye. Though she had no biological children of her own, she especially loved being known as “Grandma Donna” to many children at her church, as well as being a loving aunt to her 5 nephews and nieces and 9 grandnieces & nephews. Though she loved traveling to many exotic places throughout the world, her most cherished memories were those she spent with her family and friends. She will be missed, and we are so thankful that she put her trust in Jesus so she can live on with Him. An online memorial service is being planned.
