Derrold George Kellar

Derrold George Kellar, 84, died Dec. 5, 2021 in Klamath Falls, Ore. with his family by his side. Derrold was born Jan. 28, 1937 in Nampa, Ida. to George and Dollie Kellar. He served in the US Navy and worked for many years at OIT and Weyerhaeuser. He married Gloria Jean Yori on June 27, 1958 in Sacramento, Calif. They moved to Klamath Falls in 1969. Known as “Pooh” to close friends and “Papa” to his grandchildren, Derrold was a hardworking and loyal family man who enjoyed helping others, playing cribbage and doting on his grandchildren. He also enjoyed growing tomatoes and making stained glass gifts. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Gloria of Klamath Falls; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Noriko Kellar of Honolulu, HI, daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Brian Hunter of Keizer, Ore., daughter, Jennifer Kellar of Keizer, Ore., brother and sister-in-law, Jerrold and Mary Kellar of Grenada, Calif..; grandchildren, Kristen, Matthew, Jacob, Alex, and Ella. Derrold was preceded in death by his parents. Cascade Cremation & Burial is assisting the family.
