Bonnie Marie White Horse

Bonnie Marie Weeks Whitehorse passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 24, 2022 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Bonnie was born on May 24, 1950 in Chiloquin, OR to Bennett Merle Weeks and Carmel (Jackson) Weeks. Bonnie lost both her parents early in life. She was raised and went to school in Chiloquin, Oregon. She excelled in sports, she loved softball and basketball and played and later coached in tournaments. She had four beautiful children with Darrold Riddle. Later, she married Darron Crain and he adopted and raised her kids like his own making their home in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Bonnie remarried once more to Orville WhiteHorse. Bonnie was proud to be an enrolled member of the Klamath Tribes and she served on the election committee and helped wherever she could.

Bonnie’s great love in life was being a mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was great at baking and cooking; lasagna, tuna casserole, pineapple upside-down cake, frybread, and her banana bread was the best. She hunted and fished and taught her children to skin a deer at a young age. Throughout her life she continued with her sports and added bowling and playing pool (Once she took the most wins in her league) She loved rodeos and powwows and any outdoor activities. She also enjoyed dancing and knitting and gardening. She spent a great deal of time with God; praying, studying, thanking and praising Him. In every life situation she applied principles and used special moments to get people to understand God. She had great faith and with compassion, love, and empathy helped others. Bonnie had a smile that could light up a room, a sense of humor to match, and the ability to make everyone else around her a better human being!

She survived difficulties early in her life, and found her home with God, she went to church and revivals regularly and there she played the drums, piano, guitar, and sang beautifully. She also ministered and taught bible study. Her grandchildren have fond memories of her teaching Sunday School.

Bonnie is survived by her three sons, Darrold Crain (Anna), David Crain (Stephanie) and Bruce Crain (Chazzarae) as well as numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Leon Weeks and Aunt Vickie Taylor, and numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Bennett and Carmel Weeks; her daughter Jodee Marie Crain, brother Donald (Duck) Weeks, sisters Carmel Mae Noneo, and Miranda Weeks.

Private family internment will be held at 3 pm on Friday, October 7, 2022, at the Hill Cemetery in Chiloquin, Oregon.

There will be a celebration of life service at The Klamath Full Gospel Church (now known as Tayas Yawks or Disciple Church) at 3206 Onyx Ave. Klamath Falls Oregon 97603 at 12 noon on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
