Ashley Renee Chapman

March 17, 1991 — June 24, 2023

In memory of Ashley Renee Matson Chapman

Ashley was born a St. Patrick's Day baby March 17, 1991. She was a beautiful child, a loving mother and a talented creative artist who brightened her home with her art work and designs. She was, a hard worker, a great conversationalist, and a fiery foe to anyone crossing her. She enjoyed hearing family stories and reading local history books and learning new things. She was a defender of homeless people and a friend to veterans. She was also a hero.

When she got her driver's license as a teenager, she checked yes in the box that asked if she would be an organ donor. When she passed away, she saved lives, and enhanced the lives of many more people. She is in heaven now but will never stop loving her two beautiful children Madison Lynn Chapman and Kalla Josephine Baker as she promised many times.

On June 20, before going to bed, Ashley and daughter Madison exchanged I love yous. Madison was awakened early the next morning by the noise of the ambulance that took her mother to the hospital where she was put on life support for several days. There were many prayers and pleading with God asking Him that she recover but God had need of her elsewhere. On June 24, 2023, Ashley became an angel and is watching over her children from heaven and is perhaps holding her unborn baby in her arms. She also went to see her beloved Rottweiler, Security, and is now dancing with him high above the clouds.

Ashley had many family members and friends who will miss her dearly. She leaves behind her father, Eric Matson and step mother Rachel, her mother, Martina, and step father David Kelley and four brothers, Dylan and Tyler Hall, Matthew Wegner, and Brayden Matson. Her time in this world was much too short but she is now in the eternities, learning and decorating heaven.

There will be two Celebrations of Life held for Ashley.

August 19 at South Poe Valley Grange, 21999 South Poe Valley Road 12-4:00 and

August 20, at the Veterans Memorial Park 2-5
