Armando Fregoso, 82, passed away at his home in Klamath Falls, Ore. on December 26, 2022.
Armando was born June 22, 1940 in Westwood, Calif. When Armando was 15, his family moved to Red Bluff, Calif. Where he met the love of his life, Gay Ann Hight. They were married in September of 1963 in Red Bluff. Armando worked in the lumber industry for 47 years in Red Bluff, Burney and Sonora, Calif. In 1996, he and Gay moved to Klamath Falls where Armando worked for Columbia Plywood until his retirement in 2005. He loved to golf and fish, but, most of all, he loved to hunt with family and friends. He was involved with the Burney Lions Club, Little League and the Burney Jaycees. Armando also started the Burney Boxing Club.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Gay Fregoso of Klamath Falls; sons, Jeffrey Fregoso and his wife, Becky of Visalia, Calif., Scott Fregoso and Dawn Doig of Grants Pass, Ore.; daughter, Marcella Fregoso; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sister Gloria Green and her husband, Gale of Junction City, Ore. and many nieces and nephews. Armando was preceded in death by his parents Angel and Eulalia Fregoso; brothers, Pete and Arturo Fregoso; and sisters, Lupe Harris and Merced Garcia.
Viewing will be from 10:00am to 11:30am with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:30am on Friday, January 13, 2022 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 4880 Bristol Ave. in Klamath Falls. A memorial Mass and interment will be at a later date in Red Bluff, Calif.
