Shirley Anne Aeck

Shirley Anne Aeck, of Keno, Ore., passed away at her home on June 18, 2020. She was 80. Shirley was born Feb. 18, 1940 in Wheeling, WV to Chester and Laura Doersch. She grew up in Sharpsville, PA and spent many years in Sharon, PA before moving out west to Bakersfield, CA and finally to Keno, Oregon. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. One of her favorite camping spots was located in Tionesta, PA. She absolutely loved nature and her home was a testament to her green thumb. Inside and out, was always filled with many different types of plants and flowers that she brought back to life or grew from seeds. Most of the time, she had an animal at her side. Her most recent dog, Mofius, was probably her favorite; he was like her child. She had a wolf hybrid, Shadow, a pet rat, sleepy, a parrot, Mojo, and a menagerie of other animals. After moving to Oregon, she really enjoyed feeding the deer and other wildlife that visited their property. She had names for all of them and each one was like family to her. Survivors include her husband, Michael Aeck of Keno, Ore; her brother, Kurt Doersch, her 5 children and their families which include Diana Jarrett, Bob Fithian, Edward Burnside Jr.,Tammy Springer, and Luana Robbins.
