Laura May Kihlman, 76, passed away on Tuesday, 12/21/2021, at Sky Lakes Medical Center, due to long term cardiac complications. Born in Glen Lake Minnesota and predeceased by parents Evold (Doc) and Lorraine Kihlman, and niece Brenna Kihlman. Survivors include; sister Karen Kihlman, Apple Valley, MN, brothers Dale Kihlman (Shan), Danville, KY, Paul Kihlman, Prescott, AZ. In addition to the Kihlmans, Laura will be greatly missed by the many members of her extended family including the Willses, Stacks, Reilly's and McDermotts and all others who had the privilege to know her. After graduating from Hopkins High School, MN. Laura was employed by Northwest Airlines in Detroit and San Francisco, traveling extensively to Europe and Japan. Later in California she specialized in sales and marketing in the food industry, retiring from Gourmet Foods, Inc. as Director of Sales in 2011. Laura loved to cook and was noted for her creative approaches to pasta. As a longtime resident of the California coastal area of San Mateo County, she frequented yard sales with a keen eye for vibrant colors, art and graphics. A season ticket holder to the Monterey Jazz Festival, she enjoyed a wide variety of music, especially blues and rock. Relocating to Chiloquin (Klamath County, OR) in 2012, Laura was active in her new community. She took great pride participating in, the Sheriff's Advisory Committee, Chiloquin Fire & Rescue budget committee,and Chiloquin Vector Control Board. "Laura will always be remembered for her funny, political, and at times unique perspective on the world". said Tim McDermott her loving longtime companion. No services are planned by the family at this time. Laura would want everyone to play their favorite tunes and do a good deed. Always giving she was an organ donor.
