Gerda Maria Zepf

Gerda Zepf, 91, passed away on September 26, 2024, in Klamath Falls, OR.

Gerda was born on April 30, 1933 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, to Franz Spähn and Maria Spähn.

Gerda immigrated to the United States in 1952 and was a resident of Bridgewater, NJ from 1955 until 2018 when she moved to OR to be closer to family.

Gerda was loved to tell stories of growing up in Germany, especially during the WWII war years. She loved to yodel and sing. She was a devout Christian.

Gerda is survived by her children Heidemarie Zepf (Kenneth) of Klamath Falls, OR, and Andrew Zepf (Michelle), of McMinnville, OR, and grandsons Isaiah Zepf and Brandon Zepf, and granddaughter Hadassah Zepf. She is also survived by her sister Erika Davarend and younger brother Gerhard Spähn.

Gerda is preceded in death by Reinhold Zepf - spouse, Anita Smarook - daughter, Ronald Zepf - son, Angela Smarook - granddaughter, Warren Smarook - grandson, Jake Smarook - grandson.

The service for Gerda will be held on October 12, at 11am at Somerset Hills Memorial Gardens, Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Burial is immediately following the service.

Memorial donations can be made in Gerda's name to Nile Street Church of Christ, Klamath Falls, Oregon, or Green Knoll rescue squad, Bridgewater, New Jersey.
